Calligram

This is the calligram image I created using a selfie!! I used various adjectives that I would describe myself with as well as my all time favorite bands and color matched them to match everything in the original photo.

Skye, I hope you are working your dream job of being a radio personality and having so many opportunities to interview your favorite bands and artists. By now you have probably interviewed Greta Van Fleet, Maneskin, maybe even Dave Grohl. You have come so far from where you are now and everything you worked for has come to fruition. I know that you have probably overcome a lot when it comes to working your way up the ladder, and how you looked up to Terri Carr on WDHA for so many years your ambitions finally paid off. College finished off better than you could have ever imagined and you got to do it in your favorite state.   For my business cards, I wanted to create something that I could possibly use in the future whether it be for editing purposes or even used for when I work in radio one day.

  I decided to use various tools like shapes and transformations to practice typography and use various colors as well. 

Anais Watterson Cartoon

  I chose to create Anais Watterson as my character Illustration because the shapes used to make her are very intricate and need to be structured perfectly for them to look coherent and well put together. 

Sunset Brushes

  Taking what I learned with the gradient assignment, I decided to create a sunset with various blues, purples and pinks, as well as adding texture to the sun. Adding the brushes to the assignment, with the waves and seagulls added the final touch it needed to capture the beauty a sunset holds.
